The Center Grove Orchestra program provides a rewarding, seven-year musical journey. In addition to learning and growing musically, students have a chance to share the love of music with others as they explore their creative side while building a connected community through music education.

Joe Shimp is a 1995 graduate of Center Grove Community School Corporation. It was his experience in music at Center Grove that fostered his desire to teach the subject. He has more than 20 years of professional experience as a music instructor.

Erik Baker is the Orchestra teacher for the High School and for Middle School Central. He chose Center Grove because of the wonderful things he heard about the music department.

At the High School level, students have the opportunity to participate in either the Concert, Philharmonic or Symphonic Orchestras. These orchestras are designed to give instruction and opportunity based on the musician's current skill and to help them progress accordingly.
